Hello! My name is Kirsten. I’m an 18 year old girl who is living life to the fullest. I am currently home-schooled (have been since kindergarten) and am a senior in high school. In my free time, I enjoy piano, writing, reading, singing, competitive swimming, hanging out with friends, going to the beach, and listening to music. I am a puppy raiser for Guide Dogs of America, meaning train seeing eye dogs from the time they are 8 weeks to 18 months. I’ve raised two female black labs, Whittier and Paley, and am currently raising my third dog. He is a male black Labrador retriever named Monty and he is a delight! In the past 3 years, I have had the opportunity to travel to Haiti three times and have lost my heart completely to the country of Haiti. I believe that God has placed a call on my life to serve the Haitian people and to make His name famous among them, specifically through medical care.
The most important thing you need know to about me is that my one and only goal in life is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. He is my Savior, Redeemer, Healer, Father, Friend, and so much more. He is indescribable, incomprehensible, and incomparable. He is truly better than life.
As C.S. Lewis beautifully put it: “God cannot give us a happiness and peace apart from Himself, because it is not there. There is no such thing.”
I have never officially run a blog before, although I have started multiple and a few days later gave up on them. This is another try and hopefully, this will stay up and running! My goal in this blog is to encourage, uplift, and just share with you about my struggles and victories. To share about my hard times and fun times. But most importantly, to share with you about my relationship with the Lord and how He is continually growing and teaching me. After all, life is a continual lesson and God is always faithful to continue to test, teach, and try us.
Hope you enjoy this blog and are blessed as you read through various posts!
God bless you!
